Linda Birkinshaw
Linda has been
working as an artist and illustrator since graduating from Exeter Art College in
1974. She began as a portrait painter, but quickly moved on to book illustration,
where her detailed
work captures every character's expression to evoke the reader's imagination.
Her vibrant colours and lively drawings bring to life a world of farmyard fun
and animal antics and she has written and illustrated many storybooks.
The Country Comicals series of paintings was inspired by Linda's love of the
Yorkshire Dales and farming people, animals and scenery she encounters on her
walks in these beautiful surroundings.
Her work is published by Claughton Images as prints, blank cards, Christmas cards, coasters, tablemats, china mugs and calendars.
